missing camera cord :(

I have a ton of great pictures and stories to tell, but I can't find the cord that connects the camera to the computer. So I am working on that and will share soon :)

Estes Park!

Well I am sorry this post is a few days late :) (for all of you who were glued to your computers and holding onto your seats waiting for it... which I am sure is not many) but believe it or not, I have been busy. Between work, school, and keeping the home in order, I haven't had much time since our arrival home from Estes.
We had an absolutely wonderful time! Best birthday present ever! We stopped in at the visitors center on our way into town and asked where we could possibly see some elk. The lady said "welp, just walk out the back door and go over the bridge". We were not quiet expecting wild elk to be right out the back door! If you look at the picture above you can see we found a few just resting right off the path (and by right off the path I mean like 5 feet!)
All these elk (probably about 40) were just hanging out on a golf course in town.
Our hotel was really cool. Very old and historic, but well kept! The view from the hotel was gorgeous with the beautiful snow capped mountains in the background!
Below is a picture of the front of our hotel :)
Above is a zoomed in picture of the elk that Stephen is pointing at below.
And here's me with the elk (man I bet you have about seen enough elk :)
So all that to say, it was beautiful. The aspen were a beautiful bright yellow, the air was crisp, and it was great! On friday afternoon we were strolling down the main street and some how got caught up in the Estes Park High School homecoming parade. Let me tell you, it was a little oakie!

Other than that I don't have much to share. Stephen and I are doing great! This week we got to spend some time with the two lead elders/pastors in our church and their wives. It was such an amazing time! God has blessed us above and beyond!

On Monday Stephen finishes his musculoskeletal section and moves on to cardiorespitory.

And thats about it!
Much love,
Hannah

To Much To Say

Well if I told you all the events that have gone on since I wrote last, we would all agree I had to much to say :) I will try to do a little catch up (for those who don't know, like shopping you have to be in the mood to blog, and I just haven't been there the last week and a half or so. But now that I have a nice little bowl of peppermint ice cream and am feeling a little chill now that winter has arrived, I thought it would be a good time!... longest parenthesis ever :)

Well, Stephen is now onto the lower extremities. On monday he successfully complete a very long and very hard test on the upper extremities. God created us with so many muscles that do so many different things. We are praising God for the peace that he gave Stephen and his grace in getting us through every day. As far as the cadavers go, Thursday its on to dissection of the buttox (lets just say that Stephens cadaver also enjoyed lots of peppermint ice cream. enough said.) We are learning everyday what God means when he says to have faith and put our trust in him. Lately this has meant asking and trusting that he will give peace even when so much pressure is present. Anyways, yesterday the test was done about 12 and we headed off for a quick mountain get away, just for some peace and quiet.
It was so nice to get away. We took a short hike and then just sat in the quiet mountain air. It was wonderful!
The aspen behind us have almost lost their all their leaves, but whats left is still beautiful!
"Common Hannah lets just cross here!"

And on way home we finally stopped at Buffalo Bills grave. Every time we drive past the sign we wonder what its like. Now we know and won't have any need to go back again :)

And here is a buffalo of Buffalo Bills :)

Anyways, other happenings ...

Well we started a young marrieds Sunday school with our church and are just loving it! We are thrilled that God has blessed us with such an awesome church! I am absolutely loving Jonah bible study with them on Thursday night, and God is blessing us with some awesome new relationships!

This weekend we are off to Estes Park! We can't wait to get away!

Snow is on the way. We are watching it creep down the mountains and know that soon it will be at our front door! (CRAZY!) Last night it snowed down to about 1500 ft above our location/Denver.

Work. I haven't got much of it, but the few days I have got to work I have really enjoyed! Its great to be back in the hospital again!

One last note. We are loving being married. Just had to say it. We have so much fun just hanging out together. Companionship is awesome! God has truly blessed us!
And that's about it.

Oh I almost forgot! We got our tickets to California for Christmas! We can't wait, 11 whole days!

Much Love to all reading!

Birthday week

Well, yesterday I turned 21 :) My day looked something like this: My wonderful husband woke up with the sun so that he could make me a superb swedish pancake breakfast in bed! (apart from us not having a griddle or real maple syrup, it was as good at Grandma C's at mission springs :)
The night before (friday night) I had opened a package from my mom. She found me the exact same pewter tray, sugar dish and cream dish as she has. I was ecstatic to say the least! Its beautiful!

I slowly opened presents I had recieved all throughout the day, I was so blessed to read cards and open things from both my Zerlang and Jackson family. Yesterday afternoon my stevie brought me these beautiful flowers.
And then we were off to the annual Cheesecake Factory birthday dinner (annual because I have chosen cheesecake factory as my restaraunt of choice for every birthday since Stephen and I were dating. I just love that Luau Salad and Godiva chocolate cheesecake. Mhhhhmmmmhhhhhh!!! :) We sat and dinner, and Stephen said "you should get a glass of wine" and then we both looked at the menu and decided we were way to cheep to buy wine :) it was great!
Here we are about to leave surrounded my all the birthday gifts and wrapping paper :)
It was definitely very hard being away from all my family yesterday, but God has blessed me with a wonderful companion and best friend! For my birthday Stephen bought me a new pair of running shoes (which I desperately needed), AND in 2 weeks is taking me for a weekend get away to Estes Park right near Rocky Mountain National Park. We are staying at an amazing hotel called the Stanly Hotel! Its beautiful! Here's a link to take a look : http://www.stanleyhotel.com/ .

Here's a few more pictures from the week to tell some stories:
These are my fellow Rocky Vista wives. Jen is on the left, I am in the middle and Brittany is on the right. Here's the story: Last weekend we all went to a farmers market while all the guys were studying. Afterwards we decided to cruise through the mall near by. And there, in front of build a bear, was Darth Vador and his crew. So I dropped my purse and we took a picture. :)
This is Stephen and I at the Rocky Vista Talent Show. It was great! We screamed our head of and therefore won this beauty of a water bottle :) And now we both have scratchy throats.
And last but not least... Today at lunch we had grapes... and Stephen decided to see how many he could fit in his mouth at once (yes I know, we are so grown up are we :) But hey, we are just trying to make like a little more fun :)
And so here he is with 20 grapes in his mouth. What a man!

In conclusion, here are some prayer requests:
- continued prayer for Stephen (and I) as he strives to honor God with his studies, and has an huge amount to know (you never get caught up in med school, there's always something else)
- I started work this week. It went great (accept for only working 1 day because I got the stomach flu midway through the week), but it is hard not knowing how to plan my weeks and having to change the groove Stephen and I were in. Pray that we would know how to make our schedules work together the best that they can.

Thanks for reading allllllll the way through this blog. We love you all so very much! Thanks for keeping up with us! Stephen says HI!
Much love,
the newlyweds
